The Uranus-Neptune Sextile Finally Becomes Exact
This is the moment we have been waiting for: the first of a series of five Uranus-Neptune sextiles finally becomes exact on 28-29 August 2025. As the Uranus-Neptune sextile is all about collective spiritual awakening and last occurred in the 1960s, when spiritual awakening unfolded dramatically and the Aquarian Age was popularised, this is a big deal. It’s key to the Aquarian Activations.
Pluto in Aquarius Joins the Party
While the Uranus-Neptune sextile is exact on 28-29 August, Pluto in Aquarius will be within half a degree of an exact trine with Uranus and an exact sextile with Neptune. With Pluto’s transformational influence from Aquarius, in the same degree as the Uranus-Neptune sextile, we can see the Aquarian Activation is all about the transformation of collective consciousness and society through spiritual awakening. Pluto is transforming consciousness and society, and by tying into the Uranus-Neptune sextile, this transformation is going to involve spiritual awakening.
Pluto’s integration with the Uranus-Neptune sextile is also key for us to steer the course of our collective timeline away from a technological prison, which the unconscious expression of Pluto in Aquarius threatens to manifest. Pluto’s integration with the Uranus-Neptune sextile is calling us to wake up to the bigger spiritual picture of life and our own spirituality. Only then can we fully appraise the projection of our timeline and correct our course to be in alignment with the true spiritual nature of reality.
Saturn Calls For Grounded Spirituality
It is one thing to be aware of spiritual truths, values, and ideals. It is quite another to consistently express them in action. But this is what is needed to birth the Aquarian Age. It doesn’t happen without taking the required inspired action. Waiting for political leaders within a spiritually dead system to take this action for us is the last thing for us to be doing as they are the most invested in that system. We simply can’t be living with a schizoid split between our inner spiritual truth and the outer spiritual deadness of a world where wars run rampant and people are stuck in material illusions, barely living.
How fitting, then, that while Uranus and Neptune exactly sextile each other on 28-29 August, Saturn is within one degree of an exact conjunction with Neptune. Saturn conjunct Neptune is the perfect representation of spiritual embodiment. And with Saturn and Neptune in Aries, it is the perfect representation of spiritually embodied action.
Being in close conjunction with Neptune, Saturn will also closely sextile Uranus and Pluto, bringing the issue of embodied spiritual action clearly into focus to shape the manifestation of the Aquarian Age. This is an extraordinary locking in of the outer planets to ensure the opportunities for Aquarian awakening are maximised.
The Saturn-Neptune conjunction was last exact in November 1989, marking the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Iron Curtain. It will next be exact on 20 February 2026, but the one degree of orb in August 2025 is sufficient to profoundly trigger the collective consciousness as part of the Aquarian configuration pattern.
The highest expression of the Saturn-Neptune conjunction is the dissolution of limiting structures and the grounding of spirituality into physical expression in a manner that honours our essential unity. In 1989, there was a unification of Germany and a dissolution of the Soviet Union, but the spiritual consciousness was not sufficiently materialised to transform our collective lives to embody our higher spiritual truths and values.
From August 2025 to February 2026, with the Uranus-Neptune sextile and Pluto in Aquarius, there is real opportunity to spiritualise our material lives and create new spiritual structures for living. Can we respond to the Aquarian activations and our inner spiritual calling with embodied action for the spiritual ideal to materialise fully?
In your meditations, and especially during the Aquarian Transfiguration global meditation linkup, hold the vision for the physical manifestation of the highest spiritual values. At other times, do your best to co-create this spiritual grounding process with others. What does this mean practically? It means reshaping our physical lives, our social systems, our economic systems, and the way we support each other, on solid spiritual foundations.
Astrology Chart for 28-29 August 2025
The astrology chart for the Aquarian Transfiguration Global Meditation Linkup of 28-29 August 2025 shows the Uranus-Neptune sextile and its incredible activation by Pluto and Saturn. In addition, I have highlighted three Finger of God aspect patterns, all of which involve the Saturn-Neptune conjunction and activate and are activated by the Uranus-Neptune sextile. I have also highlighted the aspects of Venus to Uranus, Neptune, Saturn, and Pluto, showing how vital our ways of relating are going to be to birthing the Aquarian Age.
Finger of God 1
A Finger of God, also known as a Yod, is a rare aspect pattern involving two points in sextile, both forming a quincunx (150-degree aspect) to a third point. This pattern signifies a spiritual calling to resolve long-standing ego patterns. The first Finger of God on August 28-29 is formed by the sextile of Pluto in Aquarius to the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries and quincunxes from all planets to Sun in Virgo.
The message here is to integrate what is represented by Sun in Virgo with the spiritual transformation of the sextile. Negative manifestations of Sun in Virgo involve self-sacrifice, being lost in material drudgery, and worry. This is a pattern shared by a large portion of the human race as they sacrifice themselves to serving the material system. However, the positive manifestation of Sun in Virgo is practical service to a higher spiritual cause. And here we see the resolution of the Finger of God: the dedication of our lives to the practical implementation of the Aquarian Age. The Virgo worry about letting go of materialistic work patterns is something to be faced with trust and support as we all come together to commit to co-creating the Aquarian Age.
Finger of God 2
The second Finger of God occurs during the first linkup of August 28-29, when Moon in Scorpio and Sun in Virgo are sextile and both form quincunxes to the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries.
The Sun-Moon sextile represents healing, empowerment, and the ability to transform in service. The negative manifestation would be fear, control, and the giving away of power. The resolution of the Finger of God is to own our power and, with the support of others like us, to commit to the healing and recovery process of grounding our spirituality to honour the Aquarian Vision.
Finger of God 3
The third Finger of God also occurs during the first linkup of August 28-29. It is formed by the Uranus-Neptune sextile, Saturn’s conjunction to Neptune, and quincunxes from these to the Moon.
The focus of this Finger of God is the Moon and how to harness its positive transformational power as we seek to embody our awakened spirituality to manifest the Aquarian Vision. The blocks to overcome include all the fears, illusions, and ego patterns that can sabotage our commitment to manifesting the Aquarian Vision. It’s important to surrender the ego to the higher process of spiritual self-realisation and to trust in our spiritual support as we commit to cocreating the Aquarian Age together. It’s a process we may not be used to, which is why inner spiritual work and stable heart-centredness is so important to build the required trust to commit to the vision. With this in place, our integration of the transformational power of Moon in Scorpio with the visionary energies of Uranus in Gemini and Neptune in Aries can overcome the blocks that hinder our individual and collective evolution.
The lessons of Venus in Leo, described next, further clarify the personal transformation required. Fittingly, Venus aspects all the points of this Finger of God!
The Venus Aspects: Transforming Relationships for the Aquarian Age
The position and aspects of Venus describe what in our relationships is up for transformation on August 28-29. In Leo, this relates to how we express ourselves to another. The lowest expression of Venus in Leo manifests as self-centred or narcissistic relationships. However, the highest expression of Venus in Leo manifests as light-filled relationships in which we relate from our spiritual selves. The phrase From the light in me to the light in you, I greet you resonates strongly here.
The evolution from self-centred relationships to spiritual, heart-centred relationships is critical for the emergence of the Aquarian Age, which is defined by values such as the spiritual interconnectedness of all things and spiritual community. This evolution is shown by the Venus-Pluto opposition (transforming relationships into their Aquarian manifestation), as well as by Venus’s trine to Neptune and sextile to Uranus (awakening to spiritual relationships).
As we deepen our understanding of relationships within a spiritual context, we realise that we are ultimately all one. As our individual personalities are the main focus for our personal development as we evolve as souls, to the purely material person, this may give the impression that we are separate from each other. However, despite having individual personalities, it remains the case that our spiritual essence connects us with all that is within spiritual unity. Integrating these two aspects of our identity through spiritual work helps our relationships evolve and heals the sense of separation that sabotages our individual and collective evolution.
The integration of Leo and Aquarius is the integration of the personal and the collective. This reveals powerful wisdom to guide our evolution. One key insight is that ultimate personal transformation is inseparable from collective transformation, and vice versa. It is a dance between the two into higher degrees of synthesis. We can shine fully when we are part of a collective that honours our true spiritual nature and the essential unity of all things. The collective is as much within us as we are in the collective, for all is one.
With Venus in Leo opposite Pluto in Aquarius, we are being called to connect with others and put aside the limitations of the ego to form a new kind of spiritual community. This process is supported by the aspects of Venus to Neptune, Saturn, and Uranus. Venus trine Neptune is all about spiritual love—something that is painfully absent from today’s mass society but is inherent in true spiritual community. Venus trine Neptune is about seeing ourselves and others as one, holding all life as sacred in our hearts. This is the ultimate healing for relationships as the ego blocks (Saturn in Aries) are dissolved by our spiritual light (Saturn conjunct Neptune).
Jupiter: Nurturing the Spiritual Light in Ourselves and Others
Jupiter in Cancer doesn’t aspect the Uranus-Neptune sextile, but its aspects need calling out. It is within one degree of an exact trine to North Node in Pisces. North Node in Pisces shows that growing in spirituality is the key focus for our evolution. As Jupiter also squares Mars in Libra, the message is very much about nurturing spiritual growth within ourselves and others.
Jupiter’s square to Mars challenges us to integrate our light-filled compassion into our connections with others. It is a challenge because we are not here to preach to others or force them to see things, but we are here to remember that we and them are one, and to hold the light for them with compassion. Maybe then, after our interaction with them, they will have greater light than before.
